THE SHANGHAI MUNICIPAL POLICE are the main line of defense for the citizens of the International Settlement. Although they have the same problems faced by any other large city's police department, they are widely regarded as the least corrupt of the three police forces that patrol Shanghai. The force is truely international, though most of the members are recruited by way of Great Britain, one way or another. SMP officers and characters can be found on this page.
